Dr. Mauro Libertucci

Laser Assisted Dentistry

All my innovative techniques compared to the classic protocols would be nothing without the right tools that allow me to implement them. In the continuous research, supported by my intuition, to give the maximum to the people I take care of, lasers were the tools that allowed me to revolutionize first the Conservative and the Fixed Prosthesis (thanks to the Diodo) and finally also Surgery in all its applications (thanks to the Erbium Laser) 2 hours of operational videos that will sweep away any doubts: Laser Assisted Dentistry: IT IS THE FUTURE.

False Dogmas in Implantology

OBSERVATION, OBSERVATION, OBSERVATION, these are the three main rules to be able to be reasoning doctors and not robots who only travel along paths traveled by others. Following this dictate, I began to observe phenomena that did not correspond to what I had been taught in the course of my studies, on the contrary they denied its veracity. Does an osseointegrated implant maintain the same position in the bone throughout the patient’s life? Is it possible to join teeth and implants? What is the real cause of peri-implantitis? What happens if we put the implants starting from 13 years of age? I will answer these questions with cases with long follow, not only words.

The Extra Clinic of Happiness

The whole web and social networks are full of characters who teach you how to SELL 100 aligners a month, how todouble your revenue in a year by putting implants even where no one would remotely think of inserting them. Many have forgotten that they are Doctors and have turned into Health Entrepreneurs. I will not talk about all this because I know that many colleagues continue to persevere in the maintenance of medical professional values, and do not intend to change their opinion on the matter despite running activities for the care of people that actually oblige them to perform extra-clinical tasks.

I will transmit the completely self-taught and replicable system by anyone of using inner happiness to completely dominate the profession in all its professional economic and bureaucratic facets. A few simple things to know about the human soul are enough to be able to start practicing our profession in a way that is not only professional but rewarding and also profitable.

I am a happy person and a Dentist and I guarantee you that there is no need for healthcare entrepreneurs to envy my wages at the end of the month, but the big difference is that they have their personal profits as their main purpose while I get mine. I profit without taking care of it while I enjoy being a dentist.

The Power of Diversity: The Courage of Visions

AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY, A CLINICAL ADVENTURE, A COMMON PERSPECTIVE GROWTH THROUGH SURGICAL AND PROSTHETIC PROTOCOLS OF THE “THIRD MILLENNIUM” AIMED AT THE CARE OF “THAT PATIENT” The current socio-economic context and the need to reduce the costs and duration of treatment create a demand for less biologically and economically costly treatment, and hence the simplification of implantation and prosthetic protocols associated with the definition of a treatment plan «MANAGED BY THE PATIENT» can be a therapeutic opportunity in the modern context. Reducing the number of implants and simplifying the design of the prosthesis can have a beneficial impact on the overall cost of rehabilitation. From the patient’s point of view, immediate loading rehabilitation with minimal surgical trauma, possibly with a flap-less procedure, is certainly an advantage. Some randomized controlled trials (RCT) carried out in our center suggest the project’s predictability. This involves the rehabilitation of the edentulous mandible by means of a protocol of immediate functionalization by installing only two implants in the intraforaminal area. (FIXED-ON-2). In the last 12 years, 450 patients have been treated with a level of success comparable to the classic “All-on-4” treatment. On the other hand, after careful planning and careful examination of the prosthetic components used, a new idea has emerged for the finalization of implants and prostheses.

SSFLY Read is More

The socket shield fly is a new surgical technique that helps to preserve the marginal periodontium in the extraction of non-restorable teeth. It can be used in all dental areas, especially in the upper frontal areas. The technique is very simple, after extraction of the compromised tooth the root is modified to shield and inserted into the vestibular wall, it can be used both with insertion of an implant and without to preserve alveolus or even, as will be seen from the cases treated, to regrow any reabsorbed BB. After almost 4 years from the first clinical experience and after a few hundred cases treated with the possibility of visual control of the maturation of the peri-implant tissues, the long-term healing changes are analyzed, demonstrating the reasons for the maintenance and growth of the peri-implant bone. The histology of some cases several years after insertion undoubtedly clarifies the effectiveness of the ssfly and its future potential.

Tooth Transformer + Magnetic Mallet & Autologous Bone = THE SUNSET OF BIOMATERIALS

Over the years, my bone regeneration techniques have gone from the use of “bio”materials to the complete abandonment of them, as nowadays I only use autologous bone. The fixation systems of the particulate bone graft taken intraorally, stabilized by a pre-formed titanium mesh and then stabilized with osteosynthesis screws will be described.
There will be a discussion of subsequent observations of my cases, from 8 to 17 years of follow up, indicating differences in bone tissue remodeling and remineralization compared to biomaterials. If we combine this method whenever a tooth is not available for use as grafting material (Mauro Libertucci Docet), we can finally say that the sunset of «BIO» materials has come!

Root Fractures and Dynamically Guided Surgery

Root fractures: Are they really a post-pandemic problem?
Prompt diagnosis of root fractures, identification of causes and treatment to save these teeth may be a great clinical challenge. There are cases in which the situation is so critical that it can even lead to dental amputation in some patients. In this lecture, not only will we talk about causes and consequences but also about clinical presentations, diagnostic methods and possible treatments to some types of root fractures. Dynamically guided surgery
Preservation of natural structures must be an essential principle in our profession, less invasive procedures will always be quite beneficial for our patients. Guided surgery has gained a lot of attention over the last years thanks to the integration of 3D technologies. Today, it’s possible to use digital tools to execute complex procedures safely and accurately. With dynamic navigation, we can get real-time feedback of guided surgery procedures, which means can use less time with each patient. We will discuss how useful this technology could be in endodontic microsurgery.

Dr. Paula Villa is an endodontist graduated from the CES University of Medellin, Colombia. She is co-founder of the endodontic program of the degree course at the University of Antioquia, where she has been associate professor since 2004. Past President of the Colombian Association of Endodontics, she is the author of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and carries out her professional activity limited to endodontics and endodontic microsurgery in her private practice in Medellín, Colombia.

Digital orthodontics guided by prosthetic and Gnathological needs

The opportunities offered by a multidisciplinary approach to a patient with various types of dental problems can lead to much better results in terms of aesthetic, functional and long-term stability. The orthodontic approach with pre-prosthetic or gnathological purposes allows us to optimize the dental position before an orthodontic finalization: this choice will involve the determination of – A complementary treatment plan when the orthodontic correction will be limited to a mere correction of what is dictated by prosthetic needs; – A comprehensive treatment plan when the orthodontic correction of the malocclusion in its entirety is associated with gnathological and pre-prosthetic needs. Today, these types of orthodontic corrections can be achieved by using a fully digital approach through the use of aligners, which greatly improves the efficiency and accuracy of orthodontic treatment. The purpose of the report will be to provide an overview of the various clinical conditions in which the digital and aligners approach can be well combined with pre-prosthetic needs.
